Our team provides you and your child with outstanding dental health care. Every member of our team has a passion for working with children and is committed to making your family’s visit to our office enjoyable, pleasant, and educational.
Administrative Supervisor – She loves helping patients and making sure they understand the Doctors recommendations. She has been in the dental field for over 14 yrs and with Children’s Dentistry since 2010. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico and currently resides in Berwyn. Brenda is a proud mom of two boys and a dog named Bo. In her spare time, Brenda loves being with her family and friends, and spending time on her hobby: collecting I Love Lucy memorabilia.
Insurance Coordinator – Catalina is thrilled to be a part of the LTBS team! She was born and raised in the Chicagoland Suburbs and has 5 years of retail customer service experience. She enjoys working with kids and wants every parent and child to feel welcome the moment they walk into our office! In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with her family and loves watching Disney movies and visiting the Disney World Theme parks.
Dental Assistant – Erick is a wonderful addition to our LTBS team! After multiple visits to the orthodontist himself, he realized his passion was in the pediatric dental field. Erick’s amazing personality helps our little patients to feel comfortable when visiting our office! If you know him, you know he’s always laughing or cracking jokes! When Erick is not at work he enjoys spending time at home and playing video games.
Practice Manager – Heather began working at Little Teeth Big Smiles in 2010. With more than 20 years of customer service experience, Heather is a great team leader and works hard to make sure the office is running efficiently. She loves to help with questions or concerns patients or parents may have about their pediatric dental care. Heather was born and raised in Vermont and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, VT in 2005. She then moved to the Chicago area and received her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2007. Heather and her husband have three children who keep them very busy. In her free time, Heather loves to be with her family. attend barre classes. and bake delicious treats for her co-workers
Dental Assistant – After finishing her dental assistant certification, Maria was looking for a dental office to call “home”. She knew that she wanted to help children enjoy their dental visits and learn to build trust during their appointments. This meant that a pediatric office was the perfect choice, and we are so happy that she chose Little Teeth Big Smiles! She is always smiling and excited to meet new little friends each and every day! When Maria is not in the office, you can usually find her spending time with her fur baby, Rocco. She also loves to play soccer in her spare time! Maria loves to meet new faces, and is ready to meet your child’s beautiful smile- and make sure it stays healthy, too!
Dental Assistant – Marlene is super happy to be a part of the Little Teeth Big Smiles team! She has enjoyed learning everything there is to know about pediatric dentistry and has even incorporated what she has learned into educating her own kids about oral hygiene! Marlene does a fantastic job of helping to ease the worries of our little patients when they are anxious or afraid during their visit. She enjoys creating a positive experience for the patients and educating them on how important oral hygiene is. When not at the office, you can find Marlene spending time with her kids reading books, trying different hobbies, or traveling. She also volunteers her time giving out food to the homeless and picking up garbage from the streets, as she believes these things are extremely important in making a difference in the world!
Head Dental Assistant – Sonia was born and raised in Chicago! In 2018 she started working as a dental receptionist at a general dental office but quickly worked way into dental assisting. She is excited to now be working in a pediatric dental office! As the oldest of 4 siblings. she knows how to help kids feel comfortable and safe during their dental visits. She is amazing when it comes to welcoming our little new patients in for their visit and introducing them to a dental setting! In her spare time, she loves to watch movies and spend time with her family!
Dental Assistant – Cecilia started working at a general dental office as a Dental Assistant in 2021. After a few positive experiences assisting with kids she realized she wanted to pursue pediatric dentistry. The atmosphere at Little Teeth Big Smiles has been friendly and welcoming. She enjoys engaging with new or existing patients by helping them feel comfortable and safe with a positive experience in our office. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family. traveling and nature walks.
Treatment Coordinator – Shevetta is beyond excited to join the LTBS family. Her many years of HR experience translate well with welcoming new patients to the practice and coordinating treatment plans with parents. As a mom of three, Shevetta loves getting to know the new families, talking about everything from sports to cooking shows and college prospects with the patients. Her favorite past time is dining out & exploring the city and trying new cuisines.
Scheduling Coordinator – Nathan plays a key role in ensuring that appointments are efficiently managed and patients’ needs are met with care and professionalism. At 20 years old, Nathan brings a fresh perspective to his role, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing excellent service for both families and staff. Prior to joining the dental field, Nathan gained valuable experience in food service, where he developed excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
Outside of work, Nathan enjoys playing video games, spending time with his dog and trying new foods. His attention to detail and easygoing nature make him a valuable team member and a friendly face for families visiting the office.
Dental Assistant – Miranda embarked on her culinary journey in 2016, fueled by her passion for food and creativity in the kitchen. However, her life took an unexpected turn in 2017 when she was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in the loss of four teeth. This challenging experience opened the door to the dentistry world, where she found a new passion and purpose.
Through regular dental appointments, Miranda faced her fears and insecurities, ultimately transforming her outlook on dental care. Her journey led her to Little Teeth Big Smiles, where she began as a sterilization assistant. Now, she has worked hard to become a dental assistant while also pursuing her education to become a dental hygienist.
Miranda is deeply passionate about teeth and is always eager to learn more about the ins and outs of the dentistry field. In her free time, she loves to share her culinary skills, cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. Miranda’s unique journey reflects her resilience and dedication to both dentistry and the culinary arts.
Dental Assistant – Michelle’s journey in dentistry began with a role at the front desk of a general dental office, but it wasn’t long before she discovered her true passion for direct patient care. She pursued her dental assistant certification at Triton College, where she gained two years of experience in general dentistry. Michelle then transitioned to pediatrics, where she has spent the last four years helping children feel comfortable and confident during their dental visits.
Having experienced dental anxiety herself, Michelle is deeply empathetic toward her young patients. She takes pleasure in discovering individualized approaches to help each child feel at ease, making their visits as comfortable as possible. What she finds most fulfilling in her role is connecting with her patients and knowing that she is making a positive impact.
When she’s not working, Michelle enjoys spending quality time with her son, cooking, and being outdoors—whether it’s running or simply enjoying nature. Music plays a central role in keeping her grounded, and her favorite color is pink!
Dental Assistant – Jessica has been working in dentistry for over 4.5 years and is a valued member of our team. Known for her punctuality and distinctive, funky accessories, she brings a bright and welcoming energy to the office. Jessica is always approachable and eager to help, ensuring that each patient’s experience is as comfortable and positive as possible. She is passionate about building trust with patients and helping them overcome any dental fears, offering a calming presence and encouraging words whenever needed.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys a variety of hobbies, including puzzles, knitting, coloring, and reading. She also has a fun collection of fidget toys that she always keeps on hand. Her favorite colors are purple and green, which often shine through in her unique accessories.
Dental Assistant – Raised under the wide-open skies of Texas, Hailey made a big move, venturing out to the bustling, big city of Chicago. Her upbringing was deeply shaped by working hands-on with two special needs brothers, an experience that instilled a profound sense of compassion and a passion for advocacy.
Driven by this personal connection, Hailey aspired to become a Special Education Teacher. However, a different professional path emerged, leading her to a dedicated career as a dental assistant. She knew from the beginning of her career as a dental assistant she wanted to be in pediatrics. Making kids and others feel safe and heard.
Scheduling Coordinator – Kim is so happy to be part of ED4K and LTBS teams. She has always loved helping people. She is able to do that every day by welcoming families, answering questions, and making sure our patients feel comfortable the moment they walk in! She is fluent in both English and Spanish, and loves being able to help families in the language that feels most natural to them. With her years of experience in retail, she has learned various skills that will help make every visit a positive and happy experience at both offices! She looks forward to getting to know our families and patients. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and of course, her hedgehog, Hashbrown!
Treatment Coordinator – Maya is new to the Chicago area. She was born and raised in northern California and graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University, where she studied psychology and child and family development. Since childhood, she dreamed of living in a big city—and now she’s finally living that dream. In her spare time, she enjoys hot yoga, reading, trying new vegan restaurants, and spending time with her puppies and boyfriend. With her lifelong passion for working with children and her background in psychology and applied behavior analysis, this role is a natural fit as she navigates life in a new city. A friend to all, Maya is someone patients and families can always count on for help with their treatment plan.
Clinical Assistant – Jake is a dedicated and caring member of our team, ensuring everything is clean, safe, and fully prepared for the next patient. When he’s not at work, you’ll probably find him hanging out with his cats, sketching something new, or diving into his favorite anime. He has a big heart and a passion for helping others, and one day hopes to become a child psychologist so he can make a real difference in kids’ lives.
Practice Relations Coordinator – Christine’s background includes small business marketing, event coordination, and nonprofit partnerships. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and also holds an MBA. Christine is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for families. She organizes educational activities, partners with neighborhood organizations and businesses, and helps promote healthy dental habits through fun and engaging outreach. Look for Christine and her teammates at the next community event! Outside of work, Christine loves spending time around Forest Park with her husband, Jayme, and their kids, Mikey and Lily. She especially enjoys helping her daughter grow her creative balloon business.
